The Difference - Original Mix

The Difference

Sintetics Digital SD011 July 29, 2011

THE DIFFERENCE, the first and title track, has the underlying and characteristic feel and flow of Polygon’s sound, logically transmitting high-grade pumping groovy atmospheric techno, hypnotically entwined with deep-pad soundscape, ensuring the track lives up to its name. SUMMERTIME is a first-class chunk of funk. It is primarily a tech-house track, but has a more exotic vibe, laced with a sexy female vocal lick, and served with a seductive twist of Spanish Guitar and lashings of Mediterranean influence, this track is as seductive as it is dance-floor friendly. ORIENTAL EXPRESS experiments with some of Polygon’s other studio mastery, resulting in an interesting minimal tech-house arrangement with cool breaks, phat sub-bass and with distinctive Asian instruments, such as Sitars and Tablas filtered and blended with Eastern promise. ABOUT POLYGON Born in Barcelona in 1978, Luis Ventura was already experimenting with music at 12 years of age playing bass with his first punk band. Soon after that, when he was 15, he was introduced to electronic music and was involved in promoting underground parties, beginning to define his deep techno sound. During his SAE audio engineering training, he has worked with Sintetics Digital founder Javi Lago at the city’s famous Sintetics Nights, regularly performing at Barcelona’s cutting-edge clubs like Moog, Row14 & Sala BeCool. Luis’ tracks have appeared on labels such as Upon You Records Germany & 4Line Records Spain, as well as several releases and remixes featured on Sintetics Digital, including a co-production with the legendary Ludovic Vendi. His last release with Sintetics – Dans Ta Gueule – was played and supported by genre-leading DJs like Dave Seaman, Richie Hawtin & Tony Verdi.
